What is a Typo?

A typo (short for typographical error) is a spelling mistake that can affect clarity and meaning in a negative manner. A typo is using the wrong letter in the wrong place or mistaken place.

A single typo can change the meaning of a sentence, most people will experience the mayhem during text messaging.

Workplaces and schools discourage typos due to wanting some sort standard of quality.

Everyday Typos are made that can effect all people feel about what the error is on. Restaurant menus having typos could lead to concern.

What are the effects of Typos?

Typos have led to massive amounts of money lost. NASA had a famous rocket that had to be blown up because someone forgot a hyphen.

Why should I correct Typos?

More typos mean less trustworthiness as well. For example: Spam emails often have typos on purpose to trick users onto clicking on them. If you are scratching your head “r+n -> rn” can look like an “m” on some email platforms.
